GRUNDY COUNTY LAKE REOPENS

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says Heidecke Lake in Grundy County is reopening to boaters in time for Illinois Free Fishing Weekend, which begins on Friday and runs through Monday.

IDNR warned that shallow areas persist throughout the lake, which is located near Morris.
